PPFFPP.org supports Family Preservation
"Families needing support to care for their children should receive it,
and that alternative means of caring for a child should only be considered when,
despite this assistance, a child's family is unavailable,
unable or unwilling to care for her or him."
United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child
Why is there a need for FAMILY PRESERVATION?
Instead of focusing on the best interest of vulnerable children, the focus of global adoption is on filling the demands of paying clients who seek infants.
The privatization of American, infant adoption has turned what once was a social institution for providing care of orphans and children who have no parents, into a multimillion dollar unregulated industry run by untrained, unlicensed, unregulated practitioner/baby brokers and intermediaries whose livelihood is dependent on the placement of children with strangers.
This in turn has led to widespread coercion and exploitation of mothers and the commodification of their children.
